There are several different structures of fiber optic adapter, the most common structure is square type, it is with a square module in the middle of the adapter and there is two screw holes on the module. Another type is D type, including small D type and big D type, there is a round module in the middle of the adapter and the size of small D and big D is different. Other special FC adapter includes rhombic type, rectangular type, rectangular duplex type and plastic type, all of them are with screw hole for installation on the adapter panel.
